Samsung Galaxy Note now available in white

The 5.3″ superphone which has coined a new device category, the “phablet”, is now available in white at both Bell and Rogers. The LTE device which is a cross between a phone and a tablet currently runs Android version 2.3.6 (Gingerbread) but will likely be updated to version 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) sometime in May. Although an odd sized device, usage of it has started to catch on, with Samsung announcing recently that it sold 5 million units since its introduction in October. The device’s touch screen display has a resolution of 1280 x 800 and comes with a 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, a 8 MP camera that can capture 1080p videos and a 2 MP front-facing camera for video calls. For those of you who are constantly scribbling in note books, the device also provides an inductive stylus, a versatile tool that allows pen styled input.
