Rogers closing video and game rental business (update)

It has now been confirmed, as was reported in a post earlier this week, that Rogers is getting out of the video and game rental business.  In December it closed 40% of its stores and now the remaining stores are liquidating their inventory of DVD’s and game disks.  The stores will remain open but will cater to their wireless, cable, internet and home phone customers.  In a statement released today, Rogers stated that it will be opening more enhanced sales and service centres similiar to the one in the Eaton’s Centre in Toronto.
