Apple TV update adds Photo Stream Sharing

On top of all of the other releases from Apple last week, today it just released a new version of its software for the Apple TV (2nd and 3rd generation ). One of the features now available is Shared Photo Streams which was announced with the updates to iOS 6 and iCloud. You will now be able to accept invitations and then browse photos and even make comments on any Photo Stream that has been shared with you. The update also brings with it support for multiple iTunes accounts, allowing users to access iTunes purchased content from their other accounts without logging out. Customization of your home screen is now possible by holding down the “select” button, enabling you to move the icons around as you would on your iPhone. Other changes to note are: the ability to push audio content from the Apple TV to AirPlay enabled speakers; additional transitions for the screensaver; and improved subtitles. You can get the update by navigating to “Software Update” in the “General” menu item under the “Settings” icon.
