A lot of announcements coming out of the Mobile World Congress as it is gearing up for the week ahead. One of these is from Deutsche Telecom and Mozilla, as they used the congress to talk about Firefox OS, the latest mobile OS to reach the light of day. Although it won’t be coming to North America for now, it will be rolling out soon in a number of other countries including: Brazil, Columbia, Hungary, Mexico, Montenegro, Poland, Serbia, Spain and Venezuela. The first bunch of handsets for the OS will be provided by Alcatel, Huawei, LG and ZTE. Mozilla also announced that it will be launching its marketplace for the OS later in the year. Apparently you will be able to buy apps directly from your mobile provider, perhaps a way to entice carriers to get on to their bandwagon.
